Chromosome 10???

I first want to start this post by saying how thankful I am that my kids are generally healthy and I feel very blessed about this. I have noticed that alot of my post are about the problems my kiddos are having and not alot of praises so first I wanted to say that. David has been doing great at his swim lessons and has started swimming under water, this is amazing since he is a kiddo that did not even want to get his head wet up until a few weeks ago. Emily has been doing good in her reading and writing and loves to do school work she loves to write notes and pretend to mail them. Kennedy is still a very busy little girl she still loves her puppies and I think I made the rest of her year because we got a new puppy a few weeks ago her name is Emma and she is a black lab mix. She fits in great with our family and loves Angel. Anyways onto the news I received today....

I have been talking alot lately to Emily's Dr. about her starting some different medicines because of ADD and some anxiety and Behavior problems. Well her Dr. called today after I had left him another message(I have had some anxiety myself with starting her on certain medicines) and we talked for a few minutes about her medicine and then he said he heard from the Genetics Dr. at Children's Hospital, Emily had been tested there back in Sept. and due to some mis-communication the DNA did not get sent to the labs until late December. Well he said that they found a piece missing from one of her chromosomes. What does this mean you are probably wondering and your guess is as good as mine. The Dr. did not even know much and luckily the genetics Dr. called me and talked to me a little more about it. We have to go down to Children's Hospital in March and have David and Kennedy tested for this and also Erik and I will have to be tested. I have been doing some research on Chromosome 10 and there is alot of things to do with Behavior and developmental delay. I am not sure what this means but maybe just maybe we will find out some answers to why all three of my kiddos have behavior, social, speech delays, ear problems ect...I would love to find out some answers

Seriously!!!! What is wrong with my childrens ears?

Yesterday David had his 8 year well check and it went pretty good. He did have to get two shots which he was not happy about, the only thing that was really a problem were his ears, he had an ear infection about 3-4 weeks ago and was put on antibiotics and it seemed to clear up. Well when the Dr. checked his ears there was so much wax in them that they had to clean them out before they could even see his ear drums. The cleaning out consists of them squirting warm water in his ears until it softens the wax and falls out(this took awhile which did not make David happy especially since he had already had his shots and was still bent out of shape about that). When the wax did finally fall out the Dr. looked and there is fluid behind his ear drums just hanging out, they did a tenpanagram(spelling?) which measures his ear waves to see if the ear drum moves and they were completely flat lines(which is not good). David has had tubes twice and had a third surgery on his ears this last August because his tube would not fall out and his ear kept getting infected and draining this really gross stuff. I am so tired of my kids ear problems!!!!! The fluid in his ears causes him to not hear as well, they described it as him hearing everything muffled like he is underwater. So back to the ENT we go. I think I might call Children's Hospital this time and make the trip down there to see a specialist. I am really getting use to taking one of my kids in for the ears. I wonder when they will outgrow this.

Ummm.... Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone!!!!! I am a bad blogger very very very bad. This year I will try to be better but I am not making any promises. We had a great Christmas the kids some great toys(Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa) and overall it was good. Life has been very busy around her and has slowed down all at the same time. I have still had to work which I got a new job back in Sept. and don't think I ever blogged about that but it is wonderful I am a pre-school teacher for kiddos who are 2 1/2-3 and they are adorable. I love my job and the school is at a church and everyday I feel so blessed that this was what God had planned for me. The hours are perfect because I work 7:30-2:30 Mon-Fri so I am home at night with my kiddos. These last few weeks have been crazy with all the weather craziness alot of our appointments got canceled and the girls have been out of school for 3 weeks. It should seem like things have slowed down with no appointments but it just feels like we are busier, I have been trying to keep my kiddos entertained and that in itself keeps me going. All three kiddos go back to school on Monday and I am looking forward to getting back into the routine of things.
David has been doing good in school and seems to have adjusted great to his new school and classmates. We upped his medicine and that has seemed to help him focus and his outbreaks are not as often. We still struggle with somethings but started this new program through counseling that I think will be great for us.
Emily has been having such a hard time her behavior is out of control and I was really at a breaking point with her. We start back to counseling next week and they think she has ADD or ADHD and Oppositional Defiance Disorder(I am still doing some research on this one). We also saw the geneticist and the endocrinologist and have not gotten back the results from the geneticist but the endocrinologist took an ex ray of her bones again and they are still measuring at about a nine year olds size and she is only 5 1/2. They are not sure what is going on with her.
Kennedy has been doing good she is still such a little stinker and gets into everything some of her favorite things to do are color on the walls, throw all of the toys out of her toy box, take her brother and sisters toys while they are trying to play. She is still as cute as ever though and is still in love with her puppies any puppy and every puppy. She has so many stuffed puppies right now that we are running out of room to put them. I think someday she will be a veterinarian. That is a quick update on everyone. I will post more soon. I am doing this new scrapbooking thing which is 365 days, I am suppose to take a picture everyday for a year and then put them all in a scrapbook we will see how long I last at that but I going to give it a shot.

Happy Halloween!!!! Last night we went to our church and did trunk or treat it was fun but a little crazy with all the people everywhere, I think I heard there was close to 4000 people there. The kids had fun though and got enough candy to last them quite awhile.

Ice Skating

We went ice skating on Sunday, it was the my kiddos first time and quite the experiance. I think Kennedy did the best, I think Emily spent more time laying on the ice then she did on her skates and David just got very frustrated because it was harder then he thought it would be and he kept falling down. At least it was free so over all we had a fun time.

I can't seem to get the pictures to go the right way but I am to tired to figure it out so it will have to wait until tomorrow:)

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch yesterday, it was alot of fun. A little disappointing that the pumpkins in the fields were in pretty bad shape, but over all it was a fun experience. Next year I will have to remember to go earlier in the season.
